Introduction

Established in 1988, the Center is committed to the promotion of a balanced learning environment between technologies and arts.
We have a huge array of art pieces archived in an air-conditioned storage. Exhibitions of photography, calligraphy, chinese paintings, and artworks of other forms are held every year.
MORE About the Center:
The project of the NCHU Art Center was originally formulated by NCHU Council and was then approved by the Ministry of Education on condition that the running cost of the Center would not cause an increase in the budget of the school as a whole.
Despite a shortage of funds, members of the University staff involved in the project did their utmost to overcome immense difficulties in establishing the Center. We also appreciate a number of artists who not only gave us great advice about how to manage the Center but also generously donated their masterpieces to the Center. Eventually, the NCHU Art Center was officially founded in February 1988, the first of its kind in Taiwan's universities.
In order to encourage the faculty and students to particpate in artistic activities, the Center frequently assists students in holding related activities, including exhibitions, lectures, shows and classes. With the belief that artistic education should be planned on the long term, we hope to gradually extend and improve the Center, and we hope that art will play a significant role in the lives of our faculty and students.
